Chagar Hutang - the best holiday!

Here's the long overdue Redang picture post!
Ladies and gentleman,
Girls and Boys ...........
i present to you .........
the Chagar Hutang, Pulau Redang .

Basically, its a one week program of
SEATRU - Sea Turtle Researc Unit of
KUSTEM - Kolej Universiti Sains & Teknologi Malaysia.
I , as a volunteer will be helping out in the research and conservation
of the sea turtles.

i can still remember every single detail of
that week just as clearly as if it were yesterday.
i can switch it on in my memory any time i like
and run it through in front of my eyes exactly
as though it were the reel of a cinema film ;
and it never varies.

The best holiday of the year


the journey begins at 2200 via Mutiara DAP3355


6 hours bus ride from KL, 3 hours wait at bus stop, 40 mins ride : finally reached SEATRU hse @ KUSTEM.


Met a bunch of fantastic people : L-R tongnee paynee me chiahuei josh desmond
and the camera girl kahwei


Upon arriving, greeted by the clear blue sky, white sand and crystal clear water.


and a place called home for a week : no electricity , no TV, no phone line, no air cond and most of all no computer and internet connection!!! (can i survive?)


..... sleeping place with natural air-conditioned.


Our first lunch together.... yummy .....

1st night on-duty and its rained. Interesting , walking along the beach in raincoat, with thunder and lightning.


yes, there were days we saw the storm coming.......

we are very hardworking
